NFL Week 2 Power Rankings

1.) Green Bay Packers (1-0)
-The Packers showed off their powerful offense in Week 1 against the Saints. Their defense played poorly against the Saints, but should bounce back next week against the Panthers. The best news the Packers got this week is that Tramon Williams had a bruised shoulder, and should be ready Week 3.

2.) New England Patriots (1-0)

-Tom Brady proved to still be the unanimous MVP he was in 2010, going for over 500 yards and 4 TD's, which included a 99 yard bomb on Monday Night. Their defense was inconsistent against the Dolphins, and showed they are still adjusting to the new 4-3 defense. There will be a short adjustment period, but the Patriots are the best team in the AFC.

3.) Philadelphia Eagles (1-0)

-The Eagles lived up to the hype in Week 1, Michael Vick rushed for 100 yards, Desean Jackson proved he could be a complete WR. The problems for the Eagles still are the Offensive Line and stopping the run, they have some work to do before they can be the top team in the NFC

4.) Baltimore Ravens (1-0)
-The Ravens dismantled the Steelers on Sunday, and Joe Flacco proved himself to be a very good QB. The defense eld by Ed Reed, Ray Lewis, and Haloti Ngata destroyed the Steelers offense and forced as many turnovers as points allowed (7). A very strong week for the Ravens and Joe Flacco, as they surpass the Steelers in the AFC.

5.) New Orleans Saints (0-1)

-Despite the Week 1 loss to the Packers, the Saints proved that they are still one of the top dogs in the NFC. Drew Brees was teriffic, and Darren Sprolles was a game changer whenever he had the ball in his hands. They have alot of work to do on the defensive side of the ball, but some of those things can be fixed in practice.

6.) New York Jets (1-0)

-Early in the 4th quarter it was looking like the Jets and Rex Ryan were going to get knocked off by the Cowboys. Then the Jets defense returned a punt for a TD, and Darrele Revis got a crucial INT to give the Jets a crucial 3 point lead. In his first game back from prison Plaxico Burress played well (4 catches 72 yards, 1 TD) but if the Jets want to make a real push in the AFC, Mark Sanchez will have to play better.

7.) San Diego Chargers (1-0)

-After a disappointing 2010 season, the Chargers got off on the right foot with a Week 1 win against Minnesota. Phillip Rivers didn't have a great game, but connected with RB Mike Tolbert for 2 key TD's. The defense held Donovan McNabb to 39 yards, and Adrian Peterson to 98. The problem for the Chargers still remains on ST where they gave up an opening kickoff for a TD. They should win the AFC North, but still have room to improve.

8.) Pittsburgh Steelers (0-1)

- This is not the "abandon ship" button going up, but Steelers fans and players can't be happy after being humiliated by the Ravens. Ben Roethlisberger was often on his back or trying to tackle a Ravens defender after a turnover. On defense the Steelers looked over matched and out hustled. They will bounce back next week but Ben Roethlisberger will be trying to avoide pressure all season.
9.) Houston Texans (1-0)

-The Texans may finally be ready to take that climb into the playoffs. They dismantled the Manningless-Colts which may not be that difficult of a task. The key thing was their offense produced without Arian Foster, and their special teams also played well. Even if they can only get good production from 2 of those area's they should win the division.

10.) Chicago Bears (1-0)
-The Bears played extremely well against the Falcons, and showed they can still compete in the NFC> Brian Urlacher scored a TD, Matt Forte had over 150+ total yards, and Jay Cutler got 2 TD's. I am not as high on this team as others, but they easily could make a push into the Top 10 next week/

11.) Detroit Lions (1-0)

-The key thing for the Lions is Matthew Stafford played fantastic and stayed healthy. Stafford had time to find his WR;s and picked apart the Tampa Secondary en route to 3 TD's. The DL played fantastic, and the secondary was good enough. The two concerns I have are the running game, and Detroit nearly blowing it at the end, but they have time to improve.

12.) Atlanta Falcons (1-0)

-Yes they lost to the Bears 30-12, and yes both their offense and defense couldn't produce. But they are still a very talented football team, and they showed some nice glimpses in the game. Matt Ryan will find the end zone more often then not, and they do play in a dome. No reason for them to get down just yet, but they have a tough test next week against the Eagles.

13.) Dallas Cowboys (0-1)

-If it weren't for Tony Romo and his classic 4th quarter performance, the Cowboys easily could have won this game. A fumble at the 1 yard line, and atrocious decision on the pick cost them the game. They still played well on defense and the Austin Bryant duo looked to be for real. This is a much better football team , and they will prove it as the season goes on.

14.) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-0)

-The Bucs faced alot of problems in Week 1 against the Lions, and even though the score was close, the game itself played much differently. The Lions shut down the Bucs offense and took advantage of turnovers and bad play calls. They did make a comeback towards the end, and thld give them something to build on for Week 2.

15.) Arizona Cardinals (1-0)

-Kevin Kolb looked good passing for over 300 yards and 2 TD's and Beanie Wells rushed for 90 yards, helping an underrated Cardinals offense. Their defense however gave up 422 yards to Cam Newton in his 1st ever start, and Steve Smith go for 178 yards recieving. Rookie Patrick Peterson got burtn severeal times but returned the deciding punt for a TD. Not a bad W for the Cardinals, but they need to improve the secondary.

16.) Jacksonville Jaguars (1-0)

-How about those Jaguars, and they did it with Luke McCown as their QB. They ran the ball over 40 times as MJD carried the ball 24 times for 97 yards and Deji Karim had 14 carries of his own. They didn't do much in the passing game, but did enough to beat a Titans team that got little production from Chris Johnson. A solid week for the Jaguars, and much of the credit should be given to their defense.

17.) Oakland Raiders (1-0)

-The Raiders had two highlights on Monday Night a 63 yard field goal by Sebastian Janikowski, and a 150 yard game for Darren McFadden. They established their running game early and took advantage of a bad Broncos D. They do have to make improvements on Special Teams after giving up 2 long punt returns that nearly cost them the game.

18.) New York Giants (0-1)

-Justin Tuck, Osi, Prince Amukamara 3 big names on defense and all 3 didn't play due to injuries. Even with that in mind having the Redskins beat you by 2 TD's is never something to be happy about. Eli Manning struggled, and the rest of the offense couldn't get going. They still have the pieces in place to be a good team, but they can't play like this on a weekly basis.

19.) Washington Redskins (1-0)

-Maybe Rex Grossman was right, maybe this team can win the NFC East. Then again 15 other NFL teams are 1-0. Still the Redskins played well, Grossman had 2 TD's, they got a Pick 6 and they shut Eli Manning down.  A nice game from the Redskins and one they can build on for the future.

20.) Buffalo Bills (1-0)

-The Bills shocked the world and obliterated the Chiefs 41-7 on the road in Week 1. Ryan Fitzpatrick threw 4 TD passes, Fred Jackson rushed for over 100 yards, and the defense played well. A surprising performance from the Bills, and we will see if it carries over into Week 2

21.) San Francisco 49ers (1-0)

-A team that has problems on offense managed to score thanks to their Special teams. David Akers and Ted Ginn combined for 27 of the 49ers 33 points. That is a tremendous job by their special teams, but casts a dark shadow on their offense. They may be good enough to win their division, but that could change if their offense doesn't score.

22.) St. Louis Rams (0-1)

-The Rams walked out against the Eagles hobbled and disappointed. They saw their starting RB leave in the 1st quarter, Sam Bradford leave in the 2nd half, and their No.1 WR get hurt early in the 2nd half as well. They have the pieces in place to win the division, but if they can't stay healthy, they won't come close.

23.) Carolina Panthers (0-1)
-Who would have thought Cam Newton would break the NFL record for best performance in his 1st ever NFL start, I sure didn't. Yes the Panthers lost but Newton showed poise in the pocket, and was money on most of his reads. It was however against a weak Cardinals defense, and they did let Patrick Peterson return a punt for the deciding TD. They take on the Packers this week, which should be a test to see how Cam Newton can really play.

24.) Kansas City Chiefs (0-1)

-Any time you lose to the Buffalo Bills at home you are having problems, but when they beat you 41-7 you just aren't very good. The Chiefs who were fresh off a 2010 playoff year fell flat on their face, and got hurt doing it. Star Safety Eric Berry tore his ACL, they are already without Tony Moeaki, and some fans may wish Matt Cassel was hurt. After a strong year in 2010 Chiefs fans will be in for a rough year.

25.) Indianapolis Colts (0-1)

-A Colts team that before the season were one of the favorites to win the AFC are now looking like contenders for the Andrew Luck sweepstakes. The Colts looked like a bottom 5 team this week against the Texans, and Kerry Collins did nothing to help them. Can they make a turnaround next week, probably not.

26.) Minnesota Vikings (0-1)

-What can you say about the Vikings. Adrian Peterson played well and nearly had 100 yards, Percy Harvin took the opening kickoff 103 yards for the score, and they held the Chargers to 24 points. While the defense wasn't great, they kept the game in striking distance, and for that they deserve credit. As for the passing game, well Donovan McNabb matched Husain Abdullahs' jersey number with passing yards (39).

27.) Miami Dolphins (0-1)

-So I guess Chad Henne can be a decent NFL QB, and maybe this is the year he finally establishes himself. Henne looked good against the Patriots D passing for over 300 yards, but he made several mistakes while trying to connect with Brandon Marshall. Reggie Bush showed flashes of being a starting RB, but most of the time looked like his same old self. As for the Dolphins defense, well they didn't show up, and Tom Brady breezed to 500 yards passing. The offense may put fans in the seats, but I think the fans want to see the defense show up next week more.

28.) Tennessee Titans (0-1)
-Chris Johnson is back, but he didn't show it in Week 1. Against a bad Jaguars defense CJ2K managed to only get 24 yards on the ground. There are bright spots Kenny Britt made a big 80 yard touchdown play, and early made another play near the end of the game. They did have problems on the run, and they only managed to score 14 points. Even with Matt Hasselbeck, the Titans won't do much this year.

29.) Cincinnati Bengals (1-0)

-Yes the Bengals pulled out a Week 1, and they did it without rookie Andy Dalton for most of the game, but I still am not buying it. Cedric Benson made a big play at the end to seal it, and left the off the field issues behind him. Rookie A.J Green showed his star potential hauling in a 41 yard TD pass as well. A bright day for the Bengals, but I don't think they cane make it to .500

30.) Denver Broncos (0-1)

-Kyle Orton has to be wondering how long will it be until the Broncos cave in and grant the fans "Tebow" wishes. Orton is their best chance to win games, but Tebow is their best chance to sell out games. While they may think they have a shot at winning, they are still not close to being a contender.

31.)  Cleveland Browns (0-1)

-All the hype from the Pre-Season came crashing down on them in Week 1. Against a Bengals team led by rookie Andy Dalton Colt McCoy and the Browns. After the Bengals took an early 13-0 lead, it set the Browns back not only on the scoreboard but mentally. They managed to come back and in the 3rd quarter led 17-13, but a 4th quarter collapse cost them the game. This is a young team that stills has a long road in front of them.

32.) Seattle Seahawks (0-1)

-Any time Tarvaris Jackson is your QB, you know you are one of the worst teams in the league. In Week 1 the Seahawks showed the 2010 playoff game was more fluke then reality, and that they should not be expected to win their division. The lone bright spot on this team was the defense which held the 49ers to one TD. The Seahawks are the worst team in the league right now, and should be the favorites to land Andrew Luck.
