-Another great week of football filled with memories, NFL records, upsets and coaches making headlines. In Detroit we saw the San Francisco 49ers upset the undefeated Lions, but that wasn't even what got our attention. It was the near fight between Lions coach Jim Schwartz and 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh over a handshake and a slap to the back. Then in New Orleans, Saints coach Sean Payton suffered a torn MCL and broken tibia after TE Jimmy Graham was rolled over his legs. In the same game Bucs DB coach Jimmy Lake tore his patella tendon after celebrating a game clinching interception. The Green Bay Packers extended their winning streak to 12 games and they are now the only 6-0 team in the NFL. Meanwhile Redskins QB John Beck and Vikings QB Christian Ponder made their NFL Debuts.
"Say What" Stats
31: 4th quarter comebacks through 6 weeks in the NFL. It is an NFL record through the first 6 weeks of the season
9: Consecutive wins by the Detroit Lions before their 25-19 loss to the 5-1 49ers.
12: Consecutive wins by the Green Bay Packers who last lost to the New England Patriots, and that was with Matt Flynn starting.
6: Rushing TD's by Panthers QB Cam Newton. He leads all QB's and tied for 1st among RB's
7: The Bengals snapped their 7 game losing streak to the Colts, and the Lions lost for the 8th straight time to the 49ers.

Controversial Call of the Week
The Controversial Call of Week 6 goes to Detroit Lions WR Nate Burleson. It was 2nd and Goal at the 49ers 4 yard line with 13:56 remaining in the 4th quarter. Matthew Stafford delivered a strike to Nate Burleson in the end zone. Burleson caught the ball took 2 steps in bounds then was pushed out of bounds. When he was knocked out of bounds however he fell to the ground and layed the ball down near the field goal net. The officials called it an incomplete pass, because he lost the ball as he went to the ground. The Lions challenged the play and it was overturned. Here is the video
It is similar to the Calvin Johnson TD in Week 1 last year against Chicago, that call was ruled incomplete, and the Lions lost the game because of it. Fast forward to Week 6 of this year, and the right call was finally made. It didn't matter though as the Lions lost 25-19, which marked their 1st loss of the season. Regardless the officials deserve credit for making the correct call this year.
Defensive Player of the Week
Kurt Coleman S Philadelphia Eagles: 7 Tackles (5 Solo) 3 INTs
-The Eagles were on the opposite end of last weeks Defensive MVP Performance (Nick Barnett), but in Week 6 Eagles S Kurt Coleman gets the award. Taking the place of Jarrad Page Coleman picked off 3 of Rex Grossmans passes, and racked up 5 solo tackles as well. The 3 INT's kept the Redskins from building momentum and were a big reason the Eagles beat the Redskins 20-13.
Injury Updates:
Jason Cambell QB OAK: Broken Collarbone, Out for Year
-The Raiders playoff hopes took a substantial hit on Sunday vs. Cleveland after Jason Cambell broke his collarbone after taking a hit from Browns LB Scott Fujita. Raiders backup QB Kyle Boller replaced him went 8/14 for 100 yards, but was out shined by Punter Shane Lechler who threw a 35 yard TD pass on a trick play. Unless the Raiders make a trade Boller will be the starter Week 7 against Kansas City. Keep an eye on Terrele Pryor as he is the new backup QB.
Felix Jones RB DAL: High Ankle Sprain, OUT for Week 7
-The Cowboys will be without RB Felix Jones for at least their Week 7 matchup against the Rams, and he could be out longer. Jones suffered a high ankle sprain early in the 1st half against the Patriots. In his absence rookie RB DeMarco Murray carried it 10 times for 32 yards, while Tashard Choice ran it 5 times for 14 yards. It is a tough break for a team that is 2-3 already, and who have blown 3 4th quarter leads already.
Sam Shields CB GB: Concussion, TBD
-Packers nickel corner Sam Shields suffered a concussion in Sundays game against St.Louis. Shields picked off a Bradford pass in the end zone, then when he tried to return he was hit. Shields will undergo mandatory testing during the week, and hopefully can be cleared for their Week 7 game at Minnesota. If Shields can not play expect backup CB Jarret Bush to take his spot.
Chris Cooley TE WAS: Broken left-index finger, Out Indefinitely
-The Redskins will be without 2x Pro Bowl TE Chris Cooley for awhile because of a broken left finger. Cooley will have surgery later in the week but it is not yet known how long the Redskins will be without his services. Things are starting to get rocky in Washington anyway after Rex Grossman was repalced by John Beck in the 4th quarter after throwing 4 INTs
Andrew Luck Sweepstakes:
After Week 6, I still believe the worst team in the NFL is the Miami Dolphins. They are (0-4) and of all the winless teams have looked the least likely to win a game. Chad Henne never came close to what the Dolphins front office imagined when they drafted him, and he is already out for the year with a dislocated shoulder. If the Dolphins do end up with the 1st overall pick, they will not hesitate to draft Luck.
If Andrew Luck did land with the Dolphins it almost is a perfect place for him. He immediately inserts into an offense with a strong, young offensive line. Daniel Thomas will improve as a blocker and should become a true RB in the NFL, meanwhile Luck will have Reggie Bush open on screens, and a big time WR in Brandon Marshall. The only problem, if the Dolphins do land the 1st pick it is certain there will be a new coaching staff in Miami. There are several candidates out there but you would have to imagine the Dolphins will try and find a Harbaugh like coach. After the success he has had with the 49ers, and how he handles QB's, Miami will want to find a coach with the same type of skill set.
Quick Analysis:
-The first and only big trade of the NFL season happened early Monday morning. The Denver Broncos traded Pro Bowl WR Brandon Lloyd to the St.Louis Rams for a conditional 6th round draft pick in 2012, that could bump up to a 5th rounder if Lloyd reaches certain statistical marks. The Rams finally get Sam Bradford a reliable target who he can trust to pick up yards. Unfortunately for the Rams Bradford has a high ankle sprain and is likely to miss 2-3 weeks. For the Broncos they acquire a late draft pick and allow their young WR's to step up.

Congrats Dolphins fans, for the 3rd wek in a row I think you have the best odds to get Luck |
