NFL Week 4 Rewind

Instant Recap
-Week 4 is in the books and what a week it was. The (3-0) Buffalo Bills went in as favorites to beat the Bengals, and were on the wrong end of a 2nd half comeback, with Bengals K Mike Nugent ending it on a Game Winning Field Goal. Meanwhile in Green Bay (Packers are 4-0) Aaron Rodgers became the first player in NFL history to pass for over 400 yards (408) and pass for 4 TD's, while also running for 2, and now the only two 4-0 teams both reign from the NFC North. Last but not least, the Philadelphia "Dream Team" is 1-3, and will be in trouble if they don't wake up soon.

"Say What" Stats

148: Points scored by the Green Bay Packers through 4 games (37 ppg) a team record.

-10: Turnover Ratio of the Pittsburgh Steelers, who had a (+17) turnover ratio last year.

10: Return TD's (Punt and Kickoff) through 4 weeks in the NFL, which if you project over the final 13 weeks, will surpass last years total of 33.

12: 20+ yard completions between Panthers QB Cam newton and WR Steve Smith. While Smith had only 7 all of last year.

9: Game Winning drives by Buccaneers QB Josh Freeman since the beginning of 2010

Injury Updates:

Andre Johnson WR (HOU): Johnson suffered a hamstring injury in the 2nd quarter of Sundays game vs. Pittsburgh. On Monday Gary Kubiak said Johnson will be "out for awhile" while Fox 26 in Houston has reported he will be out 3 weeks.
Fantasy: If you are looking for a replacement in fantasy leagues Jacoby Jones now becomes the Texans #1 WR, and Giants WR Victor Cruz along with Lions WR Titus Young are owned in less then 10% of leagues.

Ben Roethlisberger QB (PIT): Big Ben took alot of hits on Sunday, and suffered an ankle injury because of it. While hw was seen in a boot after the game, MRI results came back fine and Roethlisberger may be able to play Sunday against Tennessee.

James Harrison LB (PIT): On Sunday James Harrison also suffered an injury, but it is more serious then Roethlisberger. Harrison broke an orbital bone around his right eye. He will have surgery on Wednesday, and is expected to miss at least 3 weeks.

Trent Cole DE (PHI): The Eagles will be without star DE Trent Cole for the next 3 weeks (@ BUF, @ WAS, BYE, vs. DAL)

Controversial Call of the Week

The "Controversial Call of the Week" award goes to Victor Cruz for his performance in the New York Giants vs. Arizona Cardinals game.

Here is the link to the Victor Cruz fumble

It was an obvious blown call by the officials as Cruz was never tagged down, but it was technically a legal call. Cruz went down on the ground and surrendered himself, therefore making the play dead. I strongly disagree with the rule, and think it needs to be changed, but rules have to be followed. It cost the Cardinals a W, as they fall further behind the 3-1 49ers.

Andrew Luck Sweepstakes

-In this new section I will highlight the team after each week who I think is the worst in the NFL and will get the No.1 pick for the rights to draft the most heralded QB in recent memory Stanford QB Andrew Luck.

After Week 4, I think the worst team in the NFL is the Miami Dolphins. They are (0-4) and of all the win less teams have looked the least likely to win a game. Meanwhile QB Chad Henne as not turned into anything close to what the Dolphins front office had imagined when they drafted him. If the Dolphins do end up with the 1st overall pick, they will not be hesitant to take Andrew Luck.

Congrats Dolphins fans, after Week 4
I think you have the best odds to get Luck
If Andrew Luck did land with the Dolphins it almost is a perfect place for him. He immediately inserts into an offense with a strong, young offensive line. Daniel Thomas will improve as a blocker and should become a true RB in the NFL, meanwhile Luck will have Reggie Bush open on screens, and a big time WR in Brandon Marshall. The only problem, if the Dolphins do land the 1st pick it is certain there will be a new coaching staff in Miami
